Precious Metal Clay (PMC) was developed by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation of Japan.

PMC is microscopic pieces of silver or gold in an organic binder. It takes the form of a hand workable clay. When it is heated to a high temperature, the binder burns away and the metal particles fuse to form solid metal.

A beautiful short story. May we all learn to live in help and harmony from examples like this.

On January 17th, 1995 a devastatingly catastrophic earthquake struck Kobe, Japan.

A group from the PMC company of Mitsubishi visited and helped 50-70 children to make a round pendants in metal with the children's fingerprint impressions.

The children then presented the fingerprints to their Mothers for encouragement while trying to survive such devastation, with their children, short of food and shelter.
